Flipspaces Expands Design-and-Build Capabilities as Enterprises Embrace New Asset Classes
Flipspaces is expanding into GCCs, data centres and warehousing as enterprise infrastructure demand grows. Discover how its technology-led design-and-build platform connects project intelligence, execution and delivery across global markets.
The company’s proprietary technology platform connects design to delivery, bringing strategy, design, engineering, product supply, manufacturing, project management and construction under a single accountable system. Flipspaces has delivered more than 1,000 projects covering over 10 million sq. ft. across 20+ cities in India, the USA and the UAE.
Founded by Kunal Sharma, Flipspaces was built on the belief that the future of spaces would depend on a smarter and more connected approach to design and build. The company said its focus on anticipating evolving business requirements has shaped its approach to planning, designing and delivering spaces since its inception.
While technology is increasingly helping businesses identify emerging trends and respond to changing requirements, Flipspaces said the ability to anticipate the future has always been central to its operations. Its approach focuses on recognising evolving needs and developing the capabilities required to address them, rather than relying solely on predicting future developments.
The company said it began developing technology-led solutions long before artificial intelligence became a defining business conversation. These solutions were designed to improve foresight, coordination and predictability throughout the project lifecycle, from conceptualisation to delivery.
Technology Integrated Across the Project Lifecycle
Flipspaces has made technology an integral part of its design-and-build process through its proprietary VIZWORLD suite. The platform includes VIZWALK, VIZDOM, VIZCART and VIZCLIENT, supporting activities ranging from product conceptualisation and visualisation to sourcing, project coordination and execution.
The company said its integrated approach has helped it deliver more than 10 million sq. ft. across 1,000+ projects in 20+ cities and three countries.
Its projects span workplaces, co-working spaces, retail, food and beverage (F&B), hospitality, education, mixed-use developments and multifamily spaces. The company has worked with leading enterprises, including BSH, Nitya Capital, ICICI Prudential, Puma, TCS, Firstsource, Cipla and Emirates, among others.
Flipspaces said each completed project has contributed to its understanding of delivery complexities and informed its approach to subsequent projects.
Enterprise Infrastructure Drives Expansion Into New Asset Classes
As enterprises expand their operations, the infrastructure supporting their business requirements is also evolving. Companies are establishing Global Capability Centres to manage global mandates, data centres to support digital ecosystems and warehousing networks to strengthen supply chain operations.
These asset classes are creating demand for spaces that require greater technical precision, cost certainty and speed of delivery.
The scale of this shift is reflected in the growth of the three markets. India now has 2,117 Global Capability Centres employing 2.36 million professionals. Nearly half of the GCCs established since 2021 focused on artificial intelligence from inception.
India added 258 MW of new data centre capacity in the first half of 2026, representing a 59% increase. The country's IT capacity is projected to exceed 7 GW by 2030.
Meanwhile, India's industrial and warehousing stock is projected to expand from 610 million sq. ft. currently to approximately 885 million sq. ft. by 2030.
In response to these developments, Flipspaces is extending its design-and-build capabilities into GCCs, data centres and warehousing.
The company said its experience working with TCS and Firstsource across workplaces, TCS's main equipment rooms, and a global logistics leader’s technology centre demonstrates how its established delivery model can be applied across different enterprise environments.
Flipspaces described the expansion as an evolution of its existing capabilities rather than a departure from its foundational business.
Integrated Platform Connects Design, Sourcing and Execution
At the centre of Flipspaces' delivery model is VIZWORLD, which connects design, sourcing, budgeting and execution through an integrated platform.
The system allows clients to explore spaces before construction, select and price products from a catalogue containing more than 200,000 options, and track project progress, approvals and budgets throughout the delivery process.
The company has also developed an integrated intelligence layer that draws on information from more than 1,000 completed projects.
This layer helps identify potential risks, retrieve project information, consolidate site updates received through WhatsApp and generate reports on demand.
Flipspaces said enterprise-grade security and traceability support the confidentiality requirements of sensitive environments, including GCCs and data centres.
As the company moves into more technically demanding asset classes, it plans to evolve its technology suite alongside those requirements, using insights from completed projects to improve the intelligence, coordination and predictability of subsequent deliveries.
Turning Project Experience Into Future-Ready Infrastructure
Flipspaces said its approach to forecasting is rooted in recognising where businesses are heading and developing the technology, systems and spaces required to support their future operations.
From workplaces to the infrastructure underpinning enterprise activities, the company is positioning its integrated design-and-build platform to address changing business requirements.
Its expansion into GCCs, data centres and warehousing reflects the growing role of technology-led project delivery in enterprise infrastructure, while its experience across existing asset classes continues to inform how it plans and executes future projects.
